A - Operating model assessment and improvement

An assessment and review of your organisation’s operating model

  • With increased awareness comes the ability to make informed decisions and drive positive change within your business

Through operating model assessment, we will collaborate to:

A - Evaluate your current operating model health - Leveraging your team's insights paired with industry best practices to benchmark maturity.

B - Assess future-readiness - Determining if your operating model supports your vision and strategic aspirations.

C - Identify improvement opportunities - Pinpointing practical actions to optimise health and future-proof suitability. We'll spotlight quick wins first.

The goal is to build understanding, align expectations, and equip you with targeted recommendations to enhance your operating model.

  • We will analyse your operating model across seven categories:

    1. Vision, strategy, and outcomes

    2. Services Services and capabilities

    3. Processes

    4. Governance

    5. Digital assets and tools

    6. People

    7. Ability to change

    Considerations:

1 - Vision, strategy, and outcomes: What is your future vision? Who do you serve? What must be achieved?

2 - Services and capabilities: Are your value-adding functions effective, efficient, and energised? How can they improve?

3 - Processes and activities: Are your core or sub-processes optimised for efficiency, quality, and experience?

4 - Governance: How do you oversee operations and sustain improvements?

5 - Digital assets, systems, and tools: Are your tech systems fit-for-purpose and integrated? Any gaps or opportunities?

6 - People and teams: Does your talent capacity and capability meet current and future needs? Are your people happy in the workplace?

7 - Change ability: How adept are you at designing, delivering, and embedding change? What can be improved?

  • Key activities:

    1. Online assessment - We will conduct an online assessment to develop an initial understanding of the current state ~ an 80% view of your ecosystem

    2. Focus groups - We will hold interactive sessions with key stakeholders to dive deeper into assessment findings and build a 100% view of your ecosystem

    3. Reporting and feedback - We will summarise assessment results, implications, and recommendations within a report. We will present these findings and recommendations to you and your business

    Deliverables:

    1. Operating model assessment report - Assessment report outlining scores, analysis, and impact on people and business.

    2. The improvement plan: A prioritised improvement plan with expected benefits and ownership.

    3. The ‘after care’ sessions: Two 1-hour sessions to support your team in initiating improvements, or in whatever capacity they require

Throughout the process, our goal is to make this a positive, collaborative exercise that equips your organisation with a clear path forward.

B - Change readiness assessment and review

An assessment and review of your organisation's readiness to take on incoming change, and its ability to successfully embed the change as part of standard operations. This will proactively identify and address any adoption risks.

  • It’s often said, that the number one determiner of success, is timing. However, in today’s complex world of business change, timing isn’t as simple as saying, we’ll ‘plant in the spring’ and ‘harvest in the fall’.

To avoid wasted effort and promote change adoption, it's important to ensure your people and teams feel genuinely equipped and motivated to take on incoming changes as part of their regular business as usual.

The change readiness assessment and review offers a swift and straightforward means to gauge your team's preparedness to embrace and integrate the forthcoming changes seamlessly into their day-to-day operations.

    In this context, readiness encompasses:

    1. End-user confidence and happiness with the proposed changes;

    2. The level of engagement, collaborative and diverse inputs, factored into the change

    3. End-user confidence in being able to embed and sustain the changes in the long term.

In summary, we want to get valuable insights into change readiness, identify any readiness gaps, and address those, proactively ahead of implementation

  • We will assess change readiness across three perspectives:

    1. End-user confidence and happiness with the proposed changes

    2. Engagement and collaboration thus far

    3. Embedding and sustaining the changes in the long term

End-user confidence and happiness with the proposed changes:

    - Is the ‘timing’ of the implementation right for me and my team, given our BAU commitments?

    - Will the incoming changes result in an improvement in the quality of life for my team?

    Engagement and collaboration thus far:

    - Have impacted teams been actively involved in the co-creation and finalisation of the incoming change?

    - Have impacted teams received the training and support required to successfully adopt the incoming changes as part of their BAU?

Embedding and sustaining the changes in the long term:

    - Are you certain that your team can sustain the new way of working over the long term?

    - Are there any obstacles that might hinder full adoption of the changes across the organisation?

  • Key activities:

1 - Online assessment - We will carry out an online assessment to build, a circa 80% view of the situation on ground

    2. Focused group sessions - We will carry out focused group sessions with key stakeholders to understand assessment results in-dept, and build the 100% view of your ecosystem

    3. Report and feedback - We will create the change readiness assessment report. We will also, present findings and recommendations, to you, and your business

Estimated completion time per project is 14 days.

    Deliverables:

    a. The programme and change assessment report - Assessment scoring, interpretation of results, and an outline of impact - what this means for your people, and your business

    b. The focused group sessions - To discuss findings, educate on impact, and co-create quick wins, and other mid / long term improvements

    c. The programme improvement plan - A report outlining improvements that will be made within your ecosystem, the benefits to be realised, and ownership of those improvements.

    d) The ‘after care’ sessions - Two 1-hour sessions to support your people in whatever capacity they require – e.g. kick- starting the improvement process, creating a business case for change, and more
